Talk about twisted love, fam. Two female prison officers are now doin' time themselves after gettin' caught sendin' Valentine's cards, necklaces, and bracelets to two locked-up drug-dealing brothers at HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale. Jai Gascoyne, 25, and Elle Walton, 27, were sentenced to a combined 29 months for their 'corrupt' relationships with Dil Nawaz, 30, and Haq Nawaz, 32.
The brothers were already bangin’ time for floodin’ the streets with up to £3m worth of class A drugs. Gascoyne admitted to an inappropriate relationship with Dil Nawaz from January to April 2024, while Walton copped to hooking up with Haq Nawaz over a similar period. They both got caught when a corruption probe kicked off after some suspicious intelligence.
Gascoyne was found wearin’ two necklaces, one engraved with 'D' (for Dil) and another with Arabic script from the Quran. The same necklaces were later found in Dil Nawaz’s cell. Walton's phone also had messages about their love for each other and plans to marry. Detective Inspector Brian Morley summed it up: "Both Gascoyne and Walton knew their actions were corrupt and went to significant lengths to conceal their offending while continuing in their roles as prison officers."
