Airdrie's Nicholas Lynch, 26, is back behind bars after getting caught red-handed days after walking free from court. The local dealer was slapped with a two-and-a-half-year stretch at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week. Lynch admitted to being involved in the supply of cocaine and cannabis at his home on October 24, 2023, while already on bail for other charges.
Lynch also copped to missing court on August 27, 2024, and breaching community orders from three years back. Back in October 2023, he was given a two-year social work supervision and a six-month electronic tagging order after admitting to supplying cannabis and having cannabis resin with intent to supply.
Sheriff Paul Haran, who initially gave Lynch a chance to turn his life around due to his young age and lack of previous convictions, had no choice this time. 'Given the further offending and breaches, a prison sentence was inevitable,' he said, backdating the 30-month stretch to June 10.
