The boys from the Nova Scotia RCMP Northeast Traffic Services in Cape Breton just pulled off a major bust. On July 24 and 31, they seized two shipments of illegal cannabis with an estimated street value of over $113,000. Both loads originated from Ontario.
Cpl. Gary McLaughlin credited courier companies for flagging the suspicious packages. “Courier companies are key in helping us intercept these illegal goods,” he said. The investigations are still ongoing, and no charges have been laid yet.
