The boys tried every trick in the book after a Sturgeon Lake First Nation robbery. Stole a truck, drove it into oncoming traffic, and when that didn’t work, they took to the water. Prince Albert RCMP were hot on their heels, though, and even the lake couldn’t keep them under.
One suspect tried to swim away but was pulled in by officers. Another hid in a swamp with a sawed-off shotgun, thinking he’d throw ‘em off the scent. No dice. All three are now dinged for robbery, weapons charges, and a laundry list of other counts. They’re due in Prince Albert Provincial Court on August 6.
