On July 22, the boys from RCMP Traffic Services pulled over a sketchy pair on Highway 6 south of Grosse Isle. The driver and passenger were headed to Winnipeg from Thompson, givin’ er through the night. A quick chat led to a big find: over $10,000 in cash stashed in their pockets.
Turns out, the male suspect was lyin' about his name and had an outstanding warrant for drug trafficking. The RCMP got a search warrant for his Winnipeg pad, and with some help from MILET North and the ERT, they raided the place. Inside, they found a kilo of meth, 700 fentanyl pills, and score sheets.
Malcolm Lado, 23, is now dinged on multiple charges: drug possession for trafficking x2, property obtained by crime over $5,000, resistin' an officer, and failin' to comply with a release order. The female, 24, also faces a charge of possessin' stolen property.
The investigation’s still rollin', but the boys are celebratin’ this takedown.
