CHILLING NOTES, HOT CHARGES: 17-Year-Old Tied to Offshore Syndicate Nabbed in Melbourne

· 🇦🇺 Australia · 2026-08-09 · 1 min read

A chilling note campaign across Melbourne and regional Victoria has led the coppers straight to a 17-year-old with alleged ties to The Commission — an offshore crime syndicate linked to drug kingpin Kazem Hamad, serving time in Iraq. The kid was cornered after cops raided his Moonee Valley pad, seizing eight mobiles, stacks of SIM cards, drugs, fake dough, and cash believed to be ill-gotten gains 💰.

Charged with drug trafficking, dealing in suspected proceeds of crime, possessing counterfeit money, and failing to provide info, the teenager's life just got a whole lot more complicated. Detective Inspector Graham Banks put it straight: "Young people are being lured by the promise of easy cash, but this is no game. These threats play with people's livelihoods and safety, and we won't stand for it."
