The West Midlands Police's County Lines Taskforce (CLTF) has taken down a major drugs network known as the 'Rocket' line, operating out of Birmingham. Two men, Muhith Choudhury and Kacper Fugas, have been found guilty of supplying crack cocaine and heroin across regions.
Choudhury, 25, from Handsworth, was the brains behind the operation, using multiple phone numbers to broadcast messages like 'ACTIVE BEST OF BOTH 10/10 5 A B HALF T 30! ROCKET LINE'. Fugas, 20, from Scunthorpe, acted as the courier, bridging the gap between Choudhury and their customers.
Both were arrested and pleaded not guilty at Birmingham Crown Court. However, they were found guilty of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs between January 2025 and January 2026. They will be sentenced in September.
Det Con Larkin from the taskforce said: 'This was a significant investigation into what was a highly active drugs line running between Birmingham and Scunthorpe. Thanks to our investigative work, we were able to attribute them to their roles and locate mobile phones linked to the drug dealing.'
