Abdul Quhhar, 21, from Bridge Street, Newport, turned a hotel room into his own personal drug den. The feds got wise and rumbled the op after searching two other properties linked to him 🍐. Quhhar was caught with cocaine, cannabis, and nitrous oxide, plus a burner phone and scales.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that Quhhar started dealing to fuel his own habit, innit. Prosecutor Anisha Rai laid it out: the messages on his phone were all about setting up deals and bank details for financial gain. He even sent ‘text bombs’ threatening harm to those who owed him money.
Quhhar’s lawyer, Darren Bishop, told the court his client had turned over a new leaf in custody ⚔️ and was now clean. Quhhar read a letter saying he fell into debt and made ‘the wrong decision’ but deeply regretted it.
Recorder Greg Bull KC wasn’t having any of the sympathy: ‘You’re no fool, bruv. I’m giving you three years suspended, 150 hours of community service, and a six-month rehab requirement. It’s down to you now. If you want to go back inside, feel free.’
