A secret cannabis farm was rumbled by police above The Horn in Hand, a pub on Goldsmith Street in Nottingham’s city centre. Officers were tipped off by a gas company and found 150 plants spread across the third floor and roof space.
The electricity supply had been bypassed, making it a proper dangerous setup. No one was caught at the scene, but the property was cordoned off. Inspector Shakeel Rasul praised the gas company for alerting them: “We’re chuffed this weed won’t hit the streets. It’s not just about the drugs; it’s linked to wider criminality that harms our communities.” The raid was part of Operation Reclaim, a multi-agency effort to crack down on crime in the city centre.
