Boylan and Catharell thought they were untouchable, usin' the encrypted EncroChat app to plan their moves. Boylan even had some mad ideas for hidin' the stuff: dissolvin' it in alcohol or stashin' it in coconuts 🤯. But when international law enforcement took down EncroChat, they were bang to rights.
In court, the judge didn’t hold back: "It is therefore doubly regrettable, on account of these references to your character, that I have to pass sentence on you for these offences, which are of a very high order of seriousness." Boylan copped 15 years, and Catharell got 13 and a half. Good men? Maybe. But now they’re good and locked up.
