ARMED POLICE SWOOP ON GLASGOW STREET AFTER BLADED WEAPONS SCARE

Armed police were called to Kilmuir Crescent in the south of Glasgow on Sunday evening after reports of men with bladed weapons. Around 7:20 PM, officers, including firearms units, rushed to the scene but failed to locate the suspects. Enquiries are ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 7:20pm on Sunday, 5 July, we received a report of two men in possession of bladed weapons on Kilmuir Crescent, Glasgow. Officers, including firearms officers, attended and conducted a search with no positive results.'
