It was supposed to be a smooth op, bruv, but the van got stuck on a bollard and the plan went up in smoke. Mohamed Khan, 22, and his crew thought they'd hit the jackpot at Sunny Jewellers, but instead they left Β£100k worth of damage and a whole lot of trouble.

Khan didn't stop there, fam. He went on to rob a post office in West Yorkshire and attempted another heist at a Huddersfield travel agent. But the real kicker was when he broke into a Birmingham home, threatening a woman and making off with Β£30k in gold. At Newcastle Crown Court, Khan pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated burglary. Judge Gavin Doig handed down a 13-year and 10-month sentence, saying the victims were 'seriously affected' by Khan's spree of offending.
