The boys in blue just took down a high-stakes operation in Maple Ridge, B.C. The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) and their friends from JIGIT, UGET, and the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team (LMD-ERT) kicked down doors and seized some serious loot. On April 29, 2026, they raided multiple spots in Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, and Surrey. Eleven individuals were dinged and released pending charge assessment. The haul? A shotgun with a silencer, over $34,000 CAD, three fancy rides (a 2012 Dodge Caravan, a 2017 Range Rover, and a 2024 Honda CRV), and enough gaming gear to set up a casino in the basement 🎠. Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, CFSEU-BC's Media Relations Officer, laid it out straight: "Illegal gaming houses are not harmless operationsβ€”they are often tied to organized crime and bring significant risks to public safety. These locations can become hubs for violence, exploitation, and other criminal activity, putting both patrons and surrounding communities in danger."
